What if I/my child need(s) to miss a class?
It’s likely a student will need to miss a lesson during the semester. Please call us before your lesson to let us know you/your student will be missing. Here are the options we provide if a student needs to miss a class or lesson:
- Lesson via video chat (Facetime, Skype, etc) at the time of the students lesson. Please let us know ASAP if you’d like this option, so we can be ready at your lesson time.
- If a student is not able to have a video chat lesson, KC Rock Band & Guitar holds a one hour group makeup class each month. Class time and date varies–to sign up for a makeup class, contact us at (816)419-8526 for a date and time. Credits are not given when a student misses the lesson. If a student signs up for a make-up class and misses the class, no make-up will be given.
- For any lessons missed by a teacher, KC Rock Band & Guitar will provide a substitute teacher. If a substitute teacher is unavailable, a private makeup lesson with the teacher will be scheduled promptly.

All payments are processed by pre-authorized credit cards or auto draft from checking accounts on the first of the month. Average Four Lessons/Month – Lessons Run Year Round
We are closed 4 weeks for holidays – Thanksgiving week, 2 weeks over Christmas, and 1 week in August when school begins. In the long months, you will get five months, short months such as November and December, you will get three lessons, and most months you will get four lessons. The tuition is the SAME each month; i.e. we don’t charge you more when you have five lessons, and we don’t charge you less when you have three lessons in a month. This makes everyone’s accounting easier.
Students can learn to play the genres they are interested in. Often students love to play popular songs they hear on the radio, which is great! We are all for variety and any genre you want to study.
Where are classes held?
We rent space from Evangel ChurchC, at 1414 103rd St, KC MO 64131.
Who can participate?
Anyone! Everyone! Kids, adults, teens, retirees…you name it. Music is for everyone.
To discontinue lessons and to discontinue charges to your account, fill out the withdrawal form before the 15th of your last month. We do not prorate tuition for the last month’s lessons. Students will be responsible for their last month’s tuition whether or not they attend lessons.
KCRB operates year round and does not close for the summer. We are happy to offer unlimited makeups for our students, and they are currently held once a month. If you are taking a month off for vacation and want to resume the next month, your payment is still due on the first of the month to reserve your lesson space. The lessons for the month you miss can be made up when you return from vacation.
