Guitar

Guitar

Our guitar teachers teach rock, pop, blues, jazz, metal, and country guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars.  Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory.  As students advance, they will work on soloing/improvising, specific riffs, using a pedal board, and more.  We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that in each lesson, students are challenged with new technique or theory concepts, and always include something fun, such as favorite riffs or songs. We use a variety of guitar method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring song ideas to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.

WHAT DO YOU LEARN IN YOUR MUSIC LESSONS?

Our teachers make it a priority to get to know each student personally and to become familiar with each individual’s musical needs and goals.  We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.   A ten-year-old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty seven year old taking up guitar for the second time after having played as a teen.  One important reason to choose KCRB as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.

If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences.   At the first lesson ,your teacher will ask you about your favorite types of music, what your goals are,  and create a plan to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

Ukulele

Ukulele

Ukulele is a great way to jump in to music. It is a little easier to pick-up than guitar–only four strings, they are easier to push down, and very reasonably priced–just right for a young student whose hands may not be big enough for guitar yet, someone just starting music and wanting to play RIGHT NOW, or anyone looking for a fun, portable instrument!
