• Spring Recitals are this month!
We’re excited for our Spring Recitals!  Friday, April 28 at 6:00pm and Saturday, April 29 at 10:00am.  If you haven’t signed up yet, we’d love anyone who wants to participate to do so!  I love our recitals, as it gives our students an opportunity to share what they have been learning and we can all celebrate their musical growth!  Sign-up emails were sent out about 10 days ago, let me know if you need the link!

  • KCRB is 10 years old this June!
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Matt and I opened KC Rock Band & Guitar School of Music.  What started with just four guitar students, in a once-a-week class, has grown to 75-80 students a week, with waiting lists on most of our instruments!  When we started, the challenge of running a business was pretty overwhelming for me—they didn’t teach me that in music school—but we found our way with the help of God, mentors, business books, and great students and families. It has grown into more than I ever imagined and hoped it would.

I love to celebrate, and this feels definitely worth a party.   We’re brainstorming a giant party/jam session for June!  More details to come!  Thank you for being part of the KCRB music family, it has truly been an honor to have been part of so many musicians’ lives these last 10 years.
